I'm proud to say that I have two friends from the newly-formed singing group of the maestro Ryan Cayabyab, RCS: Anezka Alvarez and Vincent Evangelista. We were all part of the UST Central Student Council's production of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables in 2001. Anezka played the role of Eponine, and Vincent played Marius. Me? Hehehe I had the most number of minor roles that time (Trivia!), including that of the role of Courfeyrac (one of the rebel students) and Montparnasse (one of the thieves). I've had mostly ecstatic days during practices and the actual performances, eventhough I didn't get that much-bigger role of Enjolras. Those were the days... (sniff!)
Last Sunday, I was able to catch the group performing at The Podium, then they had an autograph signing session afterwards. But of course I had to buy a copy of the album! (Support the group! Love your own! Woo hoo!) I had the album cover autographed like a die-hard fan. It's great to see old friends again!
Hopefully they really get to make it big in the industry. So by the time I decided to get married, me kakanta na sa kasal ko. (Hahaha!)
(Vincent, I love your solo! "Hiling" has been my favorite in the album. Ang senti eh! And great vocals. Panalo ka, Idol!)
