Kapag umuuwi ang isang OFW blogger sa Pilipinas, hindi ata pwedeng mawala ang EBs (eyeballs) o meetups with other fellow bloggers.
My recent trip to Manila was no exception, though unlike before, hindi ako nag-organize ng meetup this time. What I did was, I just let the other bloggers know that I will be going home for holidays via this blog and Twitter. Kapag gusto nila akong makita at merong free time, nakikipagkita ako sa kanila. Mahirap kasing magpakita ng intention to meet and greet certain bloggers in person tapos ayaw naman pala nila akong makita at makilala. Hehe medyo allergic kasi ako sa rejection. LOL!
Medyo iwas din ako sa malalaking meetups. I had been to some and they were fun (even organized one before), pero minsan sa sobrang dami ng kasamang bloggers, nagiging divided ang time and attention to get to know them better. Mas preferred ko minsan 'yung onti lang ang kasama para mas intimate at mas masarap ang kuwentuhan over coffee or bottles of beer.
Dahil limited din ang time, I only managed to meet up with a few bloggers in Manila. They're the following:
1. Aajao & Kuri - I must admit, biased ako sa dalawang 'to. I always keep it a point to allot time to meet up with them sa tuwing umuuwi ako. They are the 'daddy bloggers', and both mostly blog about family, career and fatherhood. The first time I met up with these two, it was instant camaraderie. Parang matagal ko na silang kilala. I always get inspired with their stories about taking care of their families and raising up their kids. Dahil sa kanila parang gusto ko na ding magkaroon ng sariling pamilya. LOL!Aside from that, laging may pabaon si Aajao na dose-dosenang condom. They both are like brothers to me.

2. Kathy - She was one of the few who responded to this blogpost and showed interest to meet up with me. I first came to know her and her blog sa PinoyExchange, and have been following and 'keeping an eye' on her eversince. LOL! We met at Ayala Triangle and had coffee and pastries at Coffee Bean. And WOW! She's really very nice and full of energy (and quite pretty) in person. I can't think of any dull moments when I was hanging out with her. She's definitely one worth keeping, and I would love to meet up with her again and get to know her better.
3. Andy & Ahmer - Hindi na masyadong active sa blogging ang dalawang 'to, pero nakakakulitan ko sila sa Twitter. It was my second time to meet up with Andy, and first with Ahmer. They expressed their interest to meet up, so I gave in. Saka birthday din ni Andy that time, sayang ang free dinner. LOL! The meet up, I must say, was quite memorable because of our topics of conversation. No details muna, but yeah, they're quite cool to hang out with.
4. Kat - She's the one behind Urbanity.ph, and also my close friend and colleague in the company I work for in Singapore. She happened to be in Manila as well when I was there so we decided to meet up. If you're into fashion, then check out her blog.
Marami pa sana akong gustong makita at makilalang bloggers in person, pero dahil nga isang linggo lang ako sa Pilipinas, walang naging masyadong time. Alam kong merong ibang nagtampo. (Sorry po!) Hayaan niyo at meron pa namang mga susunod na pagkakataon. Saka anytime naman eh puwede niyo akong dalawin dito sa Singapore. :)
